Temporomandibular Joint Disorders
TMJ Disorders
The temporomandibular joint (TMJ) is a small joint located in front of the ear where the skull and lower jaw meet. It permits the lower jaw (mandible) to move and function. Sometimes people experience pain when opening or closing their mouth. Your dentist may refer you to an Oral Surgeon to evaluate your symptoms. A three dimensional scan (see CT & 3D Imaging) may be recommended to better analyze your condition. For more information please click here.
