Pathology Screening & Biopsies
of the Mouth and Jaws

Occasionally your general dentist or physician may note an oral lesion during a routine exam. The Oral surgeon may recommend a biopsy, which is the removal of a piece of the suspicious tissue. This tissue is then sent to a pathology laboratory for a microscopic examination that will accurately diagnose the problem. The biopsy report not only helps establish a diagnosis, but also enables the doctor to develop a specific plan of treatment. For more information please click here.
