Dr. Firas Katabi approaches his OMS practice much like he does running marathons and competing in triathlons - with precision, discipline and the highest standards.
Dr. Katabi expresses these same qualities of intense dedication and focus in his OMS practice. His passion for dentistry and oral surgery began with his graduation from The Ohio State University in 1994. He went on to receive his DDS in 1998 at Case Western Reserve University. His specialty training in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery was completed at Lincoln Medical Center, which is affiliated with Weill Medical College at Cornell University in New York City.
He became a diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in 2004, and in 2005 a diplomate of the National Dental Board of Anesthesiology and in 2009 a diplomate of the American Board of Oral Implantology.
Dr. Katabi earned further distinction by becoming a Fellow in the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in 2004, and in 2005, a Fellow in the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology. Other professional affiliations include the American Dental Association, the Illinois State Dental Society, the Illinois Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and the International Congress of Implantology.
He keeps current with the latest techniques and most up-to-date knowledge by constantly pursuing continuing education.
